Working as a “Rocket Scientist”
Jeremy has been working for the University of California Berkeley for more than 20 years designing and building satellites for research. As the lead Mechanical Engineer for the Space Sciences Laboratory he has worked on dozens of launches. He has a BS and MS from UC Berkeley in Engineering, he also is a project specialist in Planetary Protection, Contamination Control and pointing people to Jesus whenever he has the opportunity. He has worked on dozens of missions which looked to prove old earth theories (big bang, etc) only to watch them all come back without finding what was expected. He gets to live the truth of God’s Word boldly in the science field!
Teaching from Genesis
After flying instruments he designed in the Space Shuttle with NASA, concept designing planes for Boeing/ McDonnell Douglas, developing components for Missions to Mars at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (which can be seen in the Smithsonian) the only thing left was to build fighter crafts for the military to accomplish his life goals. So before his 25th birthday, he turned down a job for a name your price salary with Lockheed Martin to attend Western Seminary. Being raised atheist and meeting Jesus in college made him hungry for living more passionately! He turned his passion for engineering and science towards studying God’s Word. As a rocket scientist he loves to lead people through the truth of Genesis.
Mentoring and Leadership
What is the most impactful thing you can do with your life? Pass it along to the next generation! Jeremy has a passion for sharing his Love of Jesus with others and helping them connect the truth of Gods word to their everyday life. He has had the privilege of teaching leadership to a variety of different groups: community college students, Welfare to Work participants, teenagers, and as young as kindergartners. He uses the Bible as the ultimate textbook to share how to live with purpose. This 4000-year-old text has countless examples of genuine solid leadership principals that can be applied in all situations – from teaching a rocketry program to a community service conference or even Leadership 101 classes.
